Scrip for Hands-On Missions Minimize

Trinity enrolled in the Scrip program in May 2010.  The use of funds generated by the Scrip program are designated to be used for work "beyond Trinity's walls".  Ideally, grants will be given to members who have a program or event which will directly involve Trinity members in the work of God's kingdom, focusing upon, reaching and benefiting those "beyond Trinity's walls"!

Scrip is headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  The Scrip company has brokered agreements with over 300 retailers nation wide.  Scrip is able to facilitate sales of vouchers or gift cards from these retailers for a discounted price and the difference between the face value of the voucher and the discount is passed on to the church.

For example, Trinity may sell a $50 voucher for Ruby Tuesday restaurant to a member.  The voucher is worth $50 and the member pays the church $50 for the voucher; however when Trinity purchases the voucher from Scrip, Trinity is may only be charged $46.  The $4 difference is kept by the church and used to fund member involved mission work!

We currently sell Scrip vouchers every Sunday.  September through April we also sell Scrip vouchers on Wednesday nights during our church family dinners.
