For ten days from June 6, 2009-June 15, 2009 we will be taking Christ's love with us as we visit, work, play and serve the workers and children at Casa Bernabe in Guatemala.
Anyone, 16 and older, from Trinity is greatly encouraged to consider attending this mission trip. Anyone under 16 who would like to attend may do so if a parent comes with them. There are twenty places available to go on this mission trip.
Arriving in Guatemala City from Springfield requires two plane rides; departing either from Springfield or Kansas City we meet a connecting flight that takes us into Gutamala City. Once we are there it is a short ride to the Casa Bernabe orphanage where we will be spending our days.
While we are at the orphanage there are two modules that will occupy our time and work. We will daily interact with the students and children there. We will also have a "work project" that will engage us as well. The "work project" may require special skills and abilities that you possess that could be used on this mission trip. We will learn about our "work project" during the Spring.

The in-country costs in Guatemala are extremely reasonable! For lodging, transportation, and meals the cost is only $25 per day per person. We are also responsible for purchasing our airfare. We will fly out of either Kansas City or Springfield, the current rates for a round-trip flight are somewhere between $550-$750. The all inclusive price per person may be lowered based upon fund raising activities and the actual airfare we purchase. Included in this trip is a day of sight-seeing and shopping (the cost for those much needed souvenirs are not included.)
This price does not include the purchase of a US Passport ($100) and recommended immunizations (Hep A, and Tetnus).
We encourage you to consider going on this trip. If you have any questions or would like more information you can contact Pastor Tessaro.
A link to an informational flyer providing more information and a sample of a daily schedule is provided for you viewing below.
