Pastor Nick Hagerman was born and raised in Bel Air, Maryland, which is a small town about 45 minutes northeast of Baltimore. He remains an avid Ravens and Orioles fan to this day. Pastor Hagerman was baptized and confirmed at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Bel Air, where he was a member for 25 years until he arrived at Trinity here in Springfield.
In 2007, Pastor Hagerman graduated from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia with a Bachelor’s Degree in History. He immediately afterward enrolled at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis to begin his studies for the pastoral ministry. From August 2009 to July 2010, Pastor Hagerman served as a Vicar at Apostles Lutheran Church in Peoria, Arizona. On May 4, 2011, he received his call to serve as Assistant Pastor here at Trinity, where he hopes to spend many long and fruitful years ministering to God’s people in this congregation.
Pastor Hagerman oversees and directs the Youth and Family Ministry of Trinity. He works closely with the Mighty Missionaries, Junior and Senior High Youth, and TRUTH Puppeteers by providing pastoral oversight and spiritual direction to each of the groups.
